Thanksgiving (A Little Late)

So on Thanksgiving, we all took a trip up to Payson for our bi-annual family reunion. We met Mom and Carla up there and afterward all came back down to my house. The first little collage is a few of us in the car on the way up. I couldn't really get good pictures of the driver and passenger seat but John and Mechelle were with us too. It was quite fun.

Here is a collage of everyone in Payson. I took quite a few pictures. If anyone wants some of their families let me know and I will be happy to share. I also have lots of pictures that Nat and Ling shared with me that I will be posting soon!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am very thankful for my wonderful family :)

New Glasses!

I got new glasses! I don't have to wear them all the time, just mostly when I am working and when I drive at night. Tommy says it's like seeing life in high definition :) I think they're pretty cool. What do you think??

Pictures at the Park

Yesterday Tommy and I went out to a park thing in Queen Creek to take pictures for our Christmas card. Tommy sister Charlotte did our little photo shoot. It was pretty fun but it got dark really fast. Just thought I would share them with you all. Enjoy!

Table for eight

Tomorrow night for enrichment I was assigned to bring a table setting for eight. It is supposed to be festive. Luckily my wonderful sister Mechelle has a holiday dinner set. It is only a 4 person set so I mixed and matched some of my own dishes to complete the set. I think it looks pretty good but I have no idea how the ladies at church will respond. What do you think?

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween, Tommy and I went to our ward party. I was an 80's Pop Star and Tommy was an Emo kid (short for emotional, a sub genre of punk). We had a really fun time dressing up but we didn't stay at the party long cause we don't have kids and the party was definitely targeted toward that age group. Anyway, we still had fun. I hope you like the pictures! Happy Halloween!

Civic duty, check!

See! His says, "I voted today" and mine says, "I voted early"

Posted by Picasa

I did it!

I voted! So did Tommy. Poor thing stood in line for an hour at 5:30 this morning just to find out that it was the wrong location. He decided to work from home so that he could still vote at the right location.

I voted and so should you!!

Grilling!

Tonight Tommy and I decided that we would grill some pork chops on our grill that Brianne and Jon gave us for our wedding. It was our first time using it and I think Tommy did quite well. As you can see our back yard is just a bunch of dirt right now... we are working on that! Hope you like the pictures!

Tagged?

Ok so Mechelle tagged me and I guess I'm supposed to go into my pictures and select the 4th photo out of the 4th folder... This is what I found... I guess I wanted to take a picture of myself in the visor mirror of the car? Who knows. I'm thinking there was more to this story but I can't quite remember... hehe

Oh! I tag... Charlotte, Ma'ila, Kristy, America, Annalee, Stacy

Weezer!!!

So this collage is kinda how the night went down. The band came out in all white suits with a white backdrop, who knows why. Later on the backdrop dropped to reveal a huge light screen thing and they took off the white suits to reveal red jumpsuits.

The concert was awesome. We sang along to almost every song (except for the very new ones that we didn't know too well) and we had a blast. Afterward we were so tired, hence the sleepy picture at the end, we went home and crashed. It was an amazing night.

While we were looking for our seats there were these awesome life size posters that we walked by and had to take advantage of. I think they're pretty awesome.

Angels and Airwaves

The band that came on before Weezer was Angels and Airwaves. In case you didn't know, this band is Tom Delonge's (lead singer of Blink 182) project. They are a lot more mellow then Blink and pretty much have a different feel all together. We think they're pretty awesome.

Here is a small clip of Angels and Airwaves playing. The quality is awful but I think you get the idea.

State Fair!

Yesterday Tommy and I went to the State Fair. We didn't go on any rides because we just went for the Weezer concert. We had to pay for admission to the fair anyway so we decided to go a little early and enjoy some of the art and stuff. So here is a little collage of us before and on the way and at the fair. Enjoy!

Super Saturday

This morning I went to my wards Super Saturday. I made a magnet board. It is pretty awesome. It didn't come with the button magnets but I thought it would be cute if I got some buttons and glued them on. I'm pretty proud of my work and it's already on our wall. What do you think??

Inukshuk!

In the North West Territories of Canada there are land markers called inuksiut (non-plural inukshuk). They are rock formations that look like a big rock man. They used to be used as travel markers so that people wouldn't get lost. They are very popular in Canada and will even be used as the symbol for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC.

I happen to work with a pretty cool Canadian named Darryl. He said that he had seen an inukshuk on his way back from lunch the other day and we were all really excited to see for ourselves.

We decided to take a small field trip down the road to the Heard Museum, where sure enough, in Phoenix, a real live (but not really live) inukshuk! We were so excited!

I took some pictures for your viewing pleasure. This is pretty much awesome and I think I want one in my backyard.

Stair Jumping!

Last Saturday when Mechelle and her family came over, the boys, Zach and Kaleb, decided they really liked jumping off the stairs. So the responsible adults that we are, decided to let them. :) They never really went above the third or forth stair and I have really soft carpet. One of the times, Zach thought he wanted to jump off with Kaleb at the same time and Kaleb wasn't quite ready. Zach pulled him down and Kaleb was sad. Because Kaleb was sad Zach got sad. They soon got over that and right back to doing what they love - stair jumping!

I was having a hard time with the timing and getting the pictures while the boys were still in the air. Tommy thought my camera should have a rapid fire setting or something. We thought this was it. I have no idea what this setting is for but it's definitely not rapid fire. I thought they were kinda cool anyway.

Raeleigh Dawn

Here is a little collage of my niece Raeleigh. She is the sweetest little baby in the whole wide world and I just love her to death! Last time Mechelle was over, we took some pictures of her and I had to share them so you all could see what a darling little angel she is. Enjoy!

Parking Lot Fun!

So yesterday while I was waiting for Tommy to come to the car so we could go home from work, I decided to have some fun and take some pictures of me in my new outfit. The car behind me isn't ours, it's some random car in the lot that happened to be in the view of my camera when I set it up on top of our car. So I hope you like it!

We love our House!

We love our house so much that we decided to take pictures of us in and around it so y'all can see how much fun it is too! We're pretty much settled now. There are a couple of rooms that still need a little work (mostly just the ones we never go into) but we are getting there! I hope you enjoy our house fun!

D-Backs Game!

Last night, Tommy and I went to a Diamond Backs baseball game. Some guys at our work had extra tickets so we snagged them and got to go for free. It was pretty fun. During the 6th inning of the game Steven Drew hit a home run that hit the bleacher right in front of us. I was scared to death cause I thought the ball was going to hit me. Luckily the guy sitting next to me dove in front of me to get it. It slipped though his fingers and bounced to the next isle over. Here is the clip if you would like to check it out. You can't see me but if you look really close you can see Tommy's bright shirt.

new couch!

So we finally got our new couch. All I can say is that it is about flipping time! So I'll tell you the story... We ordered the couch around the end of June from an interior designer that we were referred to. It turns out the the couch we initially ordered was discontinued so the designer lady ordered us a new one that was supposed to look similar. Well I guess it looks similar enough, it is a lot taller then we expected. We like it though. At first it was a little hard to get used to but we like it now. It works well in the space. What do you think? Me and my sister Mechelle made some pillows for the couch. Well more like I picked out the material and she sewed them cause I'm not sure I would be any good at that. Plus i don't have a sewing machine so thank you Mechelle! I think the pillows are fantastic!

Tommy's Birthday!

Tomorrow is Tommy's Birthday so today we had a small get together with Tommy's family. He got some pretty awesome presents. His parents gave him a gift card to Applebees, a box of Hot Tamales and a fantastic new weed whacker! Char and Jay gave him a fancy new pen with his name engraved. It's pretty awesome. I gave him a home made coupon book with 24 coupons for his 24th birthday. Of course he loves it, and I love him!!

Taylor's first football game!

Last Friday night Tommy and I went to Taylor's first football game. We didn't stay for the whole game but we had fun watching Taylor stand on the sidelines :) He ended up playing the last forty or so seconds so we were bummed that we missed that. Anyway it was a nice little flash back from high school and a big sigh of relief to know that I never have go back there. For school I mean...

Bowling!

Last week, Tommy decided to surprise me by taking me bowling after work. We only played two games and we weren't any good, but it was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from our bowling expedition!

Housewarming Party!

Here are some pictures from my house warming party. I had some friends come from out of town and it was so great to see them. Everyone liked our house and we had a great time!

This is Desiree and Jacob. Desiree is one of my bestest friends from New Mexico.

From this point of view it looks a little like we need more seating. Maybe our new couch will have that for us (if it ever comes in).

Apparently all the babies wanted to be held at the same time.

Home Improvement!

We moved in! We started painting right away cause we didn't want to have to deal with all the furniture in the way. Things are coming along great. I've added a few pictures of painting and hanging of pictures and such. I hope you like them!

The wall that the mirror is on is actually going to be painted a cream color. We didn't have time to paint it yet but I made Tommy put it up anyway. You get the idea...

Haircuts!

Yesterday, Tommy and I went over to my sister Mechelles to get our hair cut. It was way overdue, especially for Tommy. He was looking like a bum. :) Anyway, I only got a trim cause I'm trying to go for that long hair thing. We'll see how that works out. Well I think the haircuts both turned out great, mostly because my sister is shear genius!

Yay House!

Here is our house as of yesterday. It's crooked cause we put the camera on top of our car and used the timer for this one. We close next week! Our walk through is on Monday and our close date is on Wednesday. We are so excited!! Apparently there was a mis-communication with the cabinets and we got what we paid for, it just wasn't what we thought we were supposed to get. We were pretty disappointed. Well me mostly. Anyway they're still great cabinets!

OK, so our housewarming party is going to be on the 9th of August at our new address. Contact us if you want to come and we'll give you directions. Everyone is invited.

Twins!

My sister-in-law Candace was looking through a blog and her came across this picture of a girl she thought was me. She sent me the picture and asked if it was. I looked at it and studied it thinking that it may have been a picture from when I was younger. Well as you can see her eyes are blue and mine are green so it's not me but it is amazing to me that we look so much a like. I just thought I would share it with you.

more house house

Stopped by the house again today. Seems like every time we stop by they have lots more finished which is really exciting for us! They have all the light fixtures in and they even put lights in where we thought they wouldn't. Some of them are a little strange but we were planning on putting in ceiling fans in most of the rooms anyway. So yay! They finally painted the house! I'm pretty sure the door is not going to stay that color but I guess we'll see. It doesn't look too bad and I guess if I really hate it I can just paint it myself later. They still haven't fixed the cabinets. I hope they do it soon! I still love it!!
