Update on the house!

Yesterday, I took my sister to see our house and it is coming along great! There were men there working very hard in the hot sun. We are so excited for our house to be finished and we have lots of plans for it. Oh! In case you don't know, our house is being built in Avondale a few blocks away from my sister Mechelle. We were so lucky to find one so close to family and still close to work.

Alisha is a 50s Housewife!

For my final project in photography, I decided to do a series of a 50s housewife. I use a 35mm SLR with black and white film. Tommy took a few pictures of the scenes so I could get a better idea of how they will turn out. I hope you like them!

Trip to Seattle!

On the second half of our Spring break we went to Seattle. We spent a whole day at Pike Place Market, which was really fun.
We also went to the Space Needle and The Experience Music Project. The whole trip was a blast even though it rained almost the whole time. I also added a picture of my beautiful niece Lily. I just love her to death.

Trip to Ohio

Over spring break Tommy and I went to Ohio on half our trip. We went to visit the Kirtland Temple and Historic Kirtland. It was a lot of fun and we got to see a lot of our church's history.

Alisha made a cake!

Recently it was my mother-in-laws birthday. Yesterday we had a little get together for her and it was my assignment to bring the cake. I had a great idea to make a two layer chocolate raspberry filled cake. The concept was there but the execution failed to be exactly what I wanted. It definitely could have looked worse but it tasted great!

Frosting, lots of frosting.

Tommy's Haircut

Tommy's hair was getting really long and well we just didn't want to pay to get it cut. My sister Mechelle usually does it but she has a huge baby bump and shouldn't be on her feet for that long. Instead, she sat in a chair, gave me some scissors and gave me step by step instructions. It was really scary for me and for Tommy too! He was really brave and sat very still for me.

Here I am with the scary scissors.

New House!

Today we stopped by to see our house. No one was working so we gave ourselves a tour. We are really excited and can't wait till it's finished. We'll keep you updated on the progress.

Here we are under the stairs.

New Blog!

So I am attempting to start this blog and be successful. We'll see how it goes but I may need some encouragement. I'll work hard at it, I promise!
