more house house

Stopped by the house again today. Seems like every time we stop by they have lots more finished which is really exciting for us! They have all the light fixtures in and they even put lights in where we thought they wouldn't. Some of them are a little strange but we were planning on putting in ceiling fans in most of the rooms anyway. So yay! They finally painted the house! I'm pretty sure the door is not going to stay that color but I guess we'll see. It doesn't look too bad and I guess if I really hate it I can just paint it myself later. They still haven't fixed the cabinets. I hope they do it soon! I still love it!!

 

 

 

70s Party!

Last Saturday night Tommy and I were invited to a 70s party. I am all for dressing up so of course I accepted for the both of us. I dressed up as Mary Tyler Moore. Most people didn't get it cause no one really knew what she looked like. We were going for a Dick Van Dyke look on Tommy but despite how skinny and tall he is, it was hard to pull it off. Plus we found this awesome sweater vest at goodwill for like two bucks but it actually made him look like Mr. Rogers instead. I'm not actually sure if Mr. Rogers was famous in the 70s but no one at the party questioned it. There were some awesome outfits there but we really didn't stay for long cause we were the only married couple in a group of hormonal single adults and it was a little weird. We went home and we to sleep early like the old married couple we are :)

House Update

We went and saw the house again today. We have a garage door! Also all the flooring except the carpet is in and all the walls are painted. They put in the cabinets (as you can see below) but they are not the way they are supposed to be so they will probably have to rip out the top ones and do it over :( They have until the 21 of July and that's when we get to go in and criticize every single thing (that will be fun). It is going to be done a lot later then we hoped but we may get to buy a new couch because of it! We are counting our blessings!

Temple Day!

Yesterday we made a trip to the temple. We had a great time and after the session Tommy took some pictures of me around the grounds. It was really hot outside so it was a very short photo shoot but they came out pretty good I think.

Family!!

My brothers came into town to visit and we all got together and had a great time! Brant brought his two kids and so a long with my five other nieces and nephews there were kids everywhere! I love my family and I'm so glad I got to see them. I only wish Brianne and Candace could have been there :(

Camping!

This last weekend Tommy, Charlotte, Jason and I all went up to Mogollon Rim to go camping. We had a blast! We found this great spot with an amazing view. We also found a creek that is the coolest creek ever. We took some pictures at the campsite and in the creek. We will definitely have to do it again but next time we'll make sure poor white Tommy wears sunscreen.

It's comin' along

Here are some updated pictures of the house. They have all the cement done on the outside and all the drywall is taped and spackled. They say it should be done by the end of June but I'll believe it when I see it. I think it looks pretty good though, don't you?
