Tommy's Headshots

I've been practicing my headshots for future shoots on Tommy. I still have to work on lighting but he is a good model and a good sport. Here is the contact sheet from our shoot.

We had a wonderful photo shoot with our pregnant friends Tanya and David. It was so much fun, they are super cute.

Camping!

Last weekend we went camping up in the Prescott National Forest. I was afraid it was going to be really cold but the weather was very nice. We had a very good time cooking, eating, hiking, playing games, and sleeping - a lot. It really felt like fall. The brisk wind, the changing leaves - I've really been missing that lately. Enjoy the pictures!

Happy Halloween!

We had so many great ideas on what we were going to be for Halloween this year. We even started buying the accessories we needed months ago. Then we procrastinated. Then we ran out of money. Then we ran out of time. Then we went as nerds because lets face it, it's pretty much the easiest costume in the world and everyone can be a nerd. However, not everyone can pull it off quite like Tommy can :)

Today after church Tommy and I stopped at this empty lot on out way home. It's kind of odd, we think there used to be a house there or something. Now all that is left is some strange ruins and a couple old couches. Tommy thought it would be the coolest place for pictures so we tried it out. What do you think?

Look what I made!

I got this idea from Made By Girl. Mine is a little different than hers cause I must have cut my letters a little bigger and I couldn't shove them all right next to each other like she does. I will call mine original. I put it up on my wall right above my magnet board that I made at Super Saturday last year. What do you think?

The Bar-D Chuckwagon

While we were in New Mexico, we took a trip up to Durango to go to the Bar-D Chuckwagon. It's a family tradition every year to go and we all love it.

First we walked around and visited the little shops and looked at the scenery. Then, there is dinner - a nice country style dinner with barbecue chicken or beef, baked beens, apple sauce, and a biscuit. Yummy deliciousness.

Then there is the show. Four or five guys singing folksy country songs. Even a person that doesn't like country music will tap their foot. It's a great time.

My Mother's Garden

New Mexico really is beautiful in September. Everything is still green, the peaches are ripe and falling from the trees, and the flowers are fully bloomed. My parents yard is just wonderful that time of year.
