My Favorite Things on Etsy part 3

I have been loving marking my favorite things!
It's nice to be able to share all of these things I love with someone.
I hope you like this round of favorites as much as I do.

1. I Can Print I want to make a frame collage in my house. This would work perfectly. I really believe it too.
2. Skirt One day, I will be able to sew well. Then I can make this skirt on my own. Until then, I will admire it's beauty.
3. I Heart New Mexico I found this necklace after reading an article about Urban Outfitters stealing designs :/ The originals are just lovely.
4. Japanese Washi Tape I am obsessed with washi tape! I want lots and lots and lots of it!
5. Vintage Kodak Brownie Starlet Camera Tommy bought me an old vintage camera for our anniversary and it has inspired me to start a collection. I love old cameras, they have so much history.
6. Knot Ring I love this ring. It's also a very pretty picture of said ring.
7. Map Print Also included on my frame wall will be this. Or one like it.
8. Faux Metal Letters I've seen actual metal ones and they are expensive! These seem like a great alternative.

Fry Bread House

Today, for our lunch date, we went to The Fry Bread House
I've been wanting some food that reminds me of home and this hit the spot.
It was inexpensive, fast, and delicious!
I highly recommend it!

To Do

Full-Time Mom + Full-Time Job + Part-Time Photographer = One Busy Lady
Luckily summertime in Phoenix also means less photo shoots and more home projects!
I got this cute idea from THIS blog, and decided to make my own.
Maybe it will help me get on track!

6 Months!

6 months already!
I can't believe it!
Our baby is growing so fast.

He has recently started to get up on his knees and is so close to crawling!
He also loves himself some baby food, and has been eating it up like nobody's business.
We love him so!

At his 6 month check-up his stats were:
27.74 inches long - 91%
17.68 pounds - 55%

Our Love Story

Spring Break was coming up and I was about to head to Phoenix from New Mexico to apply for a job. My sisters husband, who got me the interview, told me that he knew a guy he thought I would hit it off with. I agreed to a blind date but the day before I was going to go, he called and told me that the guy flaked out. I really didn't care much so I went to the interview and got the job.

When I moved to Phoenix, I lived with my sister for a few months while I worked and looked for my own place. He lived on her side of town so one day after a fireside at church, I heard someone say his name. I turned and saw him and awkwardly said "oh you're Tommy? You're the guy that ditched out on me for that blind date?" He was really embarrassed but said yes and that he had to go.

After that, I thought I would try to pursue him. I started inviting him to things and would randomly run into him at work and at other places. We even went on a date that ended up a very awkward disaster. It turned out he was actually interested in a different girl who didn't return his affections. We decided to be friends.

Months went by and I started dating a different guy. Things got pretty rocky with him so I would stop by Tommy's desk on my way out of work and talk to him about my relationship. He would also talk to me about the girl he was interested in. We became a support for each other and soon talking at his desk became a daily occurrence.

Three days after my relationship with the other guy ended, Tommy asked me to lunch. Two days after that he came over to my house and told me he liked me. Two days after that we went on what we now call "our first official date." We dated not seriously for about two months when I took him home for Christmas because I didn't want to make the long drive alone. I'm from a small town so people assumed that we were very serious. That scared him and when we got back to Phoenix he broke up with me. All the time that we were together I thought it wouldn't matter if we broke up but when it happened I was devastated. It turned out that he was too. Three days later he came over and told me how much he missed me and loved me.

Three months later he proposed to me and two months after that we were married. I don't think I fully understood how lucky I was to have him then but now, four years later, I understand more then ever. He is the best and most wonderful husband and father I have ever met and I can't wait to spend forever with him.

Happy Anniversary Tommy, I love you more than anything!

One In Every Color

How amazing are these trousers?
I wonder how they would look on a body like mine.
Seriously, who has legs like that?

Yellow Skirt

Yesterday, I made this skirt from a tutorial I found HERE.
It was my first attempt at using my sewing machine since I got it almost 2 years ago...
I found this super cute fabric at Ikea.
Perfect for summer!

My husband is hot.

Jump Around

We got Cameron a Johnny Jump Up.
He LOVES it!
It's wonderful when I'm cooking and need some distractions for baby.
He's content jumping around for a good half an hour at a time.
Plus, his jumping is super adorable.

My Mother

This Mother's Day, I am especially grateful for my mother.
As a new mom myself, I have understood her more than ever.
All of those times she told me, "you'll thank me later," I wasn't sure I believed her then.
I believe her now.
I am the person I am today because of her.
I am the kind of mom I am today because of her.
I love her very much!

Happy Mother's Day!

Galway, Ireland

I've been dreaming of Ireland lately.
I realized that my love of Ireland may be the reason for my love of Seattle.
The rain, the green, the water.
We need to go back.

Our Weekend

Last weekend was crazy busy!
We had one wedding and two receptions to take pictures of.
Luckily, the reception was for a friend so we were able to set up a super fun photobooth.
We made props and had a blast with it!
Here are some of the pictures we took of ourselves.
I can't wait to edit the rest!
