Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!

My parents are the best parents in the world.
They are selfless and kind and they have always put their children before themselves.
Their birthdays are only two days apart, so we get to celebrate them together!

I love you both very much and I hope you have/had great birthday-days :)

Love,
Alisha

Dear 2010

Thank you for being the BEST. YEAR. EVER.

You have been so good to us 2010.

Remember that time we went to Ireland, Scotland, and England? Yeah, that was pretty awesome.

And then that time I found out I was pregnant? Epic.

Oh, also, that one time when we were married for three years? Sweetness.

Then there was that time where we finally found my picture on a Jones Soda bottle. Well, that will NEVER get old!

I also loved that time I got to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Ohio and meet their sweet sweet boy Corgan. He's pretty much the cutest thing ever, so thanks for that.

Oh, do you remember that time Tommy put peas in the medicine cabinet?? Hi-larious!

And then of course, that time I had the sweetest 9 pound baby! It was legen... wait for it... dary!

So thank you, 2010. You were great. 2011 has some big shoes to fill.

Happy Holidays!

Temple Lights!

We went to the temple lights in Mesa.
It was such a fun night for us to be out as a family!
We had a fun little time together and we will definitely make it a yearly tradition.

Baby Bryce!

My new nephew Bryce was born on Tuesday.
He's so tiny.
We took a picture of Cameron next to him.
The difference is amazing!
We have such a big boy!

1 month!

Happy 1 month (tomorrow) to our sweet baby boy!
He really is the best baby we could ever ask for.

This week we love:
tiny little sneezes
when he falls asleep on our chest
sweet baby hiccups
all of us getting to spend time together

Don't you love the cute onesie I made?
It's a super easy tutorial that I will share with you later.

3 weeks!

Time is going by so fast.
It breaks my heart to think about leaving this little boy to go back to work.
I love him so much!

This past week we have learned:
The joys of poop blowouts.
The value of sleep.
The wonderfulness of pre-made meals (Thank you Mechelle and Mom!).
The sweetness of gas smiles.
That button jammies, although they may be cute, are not practical.

We love our sweet little boy!
Yay for 3 weeks!

2 weeks!

Our sweet baby boy is two weeks old today.
Oh the joys of having a baby boy!

This week we love:
His sweet little noises.
The way he calms down so quickly when we snuggle him.
When he holds on so tightly to our fingers.
The way he manages to get his arms free from any swaddling.
That he is ours.

Who ever thought we could love something so much.
We really can't get enough of him.
Our favorite thing to do is cuddle together and stare at him.
Here he is after is first bath.
Seriously, the cutest baby in the world!

A view from above

(If you can't tell, this is my belly)

The long months I've had the opportunity to carry this baby are finally coming to a close.
We are so excited to have our baby boy here.
Tommy asked me last night if I thought we were ready.
Well, it doesn't really matter if we are, but I told him that we have been so selfish with our love for the past three years, it really is about time we share it with someone else.
He agreed.

Day 9: London - Our last day!

This is finally the last post of our trip.
It has taken me FOREVER to get through it but here we are at the end.

This was our last full day.
We started off by going to Harrods. This store is amazingly humongous.
They have anything or everything you can imagine - or they can get it for you.
Our tour guide from the day before, told us that a guy was able to order an elephant. Seriously.

We then roamed around and found ourselves at this awesome underground market.
It was so cool and they had so many amazing things.

As we wandered, we took pictures of the awesome building sides.
This city just has so much history. It was awesome to see and be there.

Of course we had to visit the Tower of London.
This building has been here since 1066!

And right next door, the London Bridge.

Just for fun, we had to take a picture of an authentic telephone booth.

We really loved London and we were so glad we were able to spend time there.
Our trip was really great and we really enjoyed seeing so many places.
Next time we go, we plan on seeing less so we can enjoy each place more and not feel so rushed.
So that is all folks! I hope you enjoyed the recap of our trip as much as we did!
The End.

37 Weeks!

I'm not sure how many of these cute days we'll have left so we are capturing them as they come.
Here I am after church yesterday.
I don't think my belly can get any bigger at this point. At least I hope not!
We seem to be all set for baby Cameron to arrive.
And now we wait....

Random Things About Pregnant Alisha!

Since I'm all about being pregnant lately, I decided to write a post of the the quirky things that have been going on since I have been with child.
Here we go!

1. I once craved pickles and watermelon at the same time.
2. I get really emotional when I am hungry.
3. Sometimes I think that everything in my house has to be cleaned at once and I get really frustrated when it doesn't happen.
4. I love mac-n-cheese.
5. Any smell that reminds me of Europe still makes me feel sick. And that makes me sad.
6. I dwell on what people say about my pregnant body WAY too much.
7. I spill stuff on myself almost everyday.
8. I have forgotten my purse at two different restaurants. Luckily I remembered and we were able to call and return before anything was stolen.
9. I love to rest things on my belly when I sit on the couch. It's like I have my own little shelf!
10. I have surprised myself at what kind of pregnant woman I am. I thought I would be completely irrational. Turns out I'm not that bad. Let's hope Tommy feels the same!

Happy Baby Shower!

Thank you everyone who came to my friends and family baby shower!
I had a wonderful time.
The food was fabulous,
I wish I would have taken pictures of the spread but it was
surprisingly difficult to take pictures at your own shower.
Thanks to my friend Ashley, I got a few of me opening presents.
Happy Shower!

Birthday Cake!

For Tommy's birthday, I made a cake from a recipe I found a while back on Make It and Love It.
It's called "almost too much chocolate cake."
It was fabulous! And really not that hard to make.
Most of all, Tommy loved it and that was enough for me!

Day 8: Bath

This was the last stop on our day tour for day 8.
Bath was amazing.
The structure of the whole city was beautiful.
There were people playing music in the squares and rows of local shops lining cobblestone streets.
We visited the Roman Baths, which are excavated structures built around a natural spring.
It was wonderful and so full of history.
The city is also known as the city of pigs because of a story involving some pigs and a prince with leprosy.
You can read about the legend here
