D-Backs Game!

Last night, Tommy and I went to a Diamond Backs baseball game. Some guys at our work had extra tickets so we snagged them and got to go for free. It was pretty fun. During the 6th inning of the game Steven Drew hit a home run that hit the bleacher right in front of us. I was scared to death cause I thought the ball was going to hit me. Luckily the guy sitting next to me dove in front of me to get it. It slipped though his fingers and bounced to the next isle over. Here is the clip if you would like to check it out. You can't see me but if you look really close you can see Tommy's bright shirt.

new couch!

So we finally got our new couch. All I can say is that it is about flipping time! So I'll tell you the story... We ordered the couch around the end of June from an interior designer that we were referred to. It turns out the the couch we initially ordered was discontinued so the designer lady ordered us a new one that was supposed to look similar. Well I guess it looks similar enough, it is a lot taller then we expected. We like it though. At first it was a little hard to get used to but we like it now. It works well in the space. What do you think? Me and my sister Mechelle made some pillows for the couch. Well more like I picked out the material and she sewed them cause I'm not sure I would be any good at that. Plus i don't have a sewing machine so thank you Mechelle! I think the pillows are fantastic!

Tommy's Birthday!

Tomorrow is Tommy's Birthday so today we had a small get together with Tommy's family. He got some pretty awesome presents. His parents gave him a gift card to Applebees, a box of Hot Tamales and a fantastic new weed whacker! Char and Jay gave him a fancy new pen with his name engraved. It's pretty awesome. I gave him a home made coupon book with 24 coupons for his 24th birthday. Of course he loves it, and I love him!!

Taylor's first football game!

Last Friday night Tommy and I went to Taylor's first football game. We didn't stay for the whole game but we had fun watching Taylor stand on the sidelines :) He ended up playing the last forty or so seconds so we were bummed that we missed that. Anyway it was a nice little flash back from high school and a big sigh of relief to know that I never have go back there. For school I mean...
